Brief Description: Updrill main spar root and tip components
Still working on the left main spar hardware. Enlarged the slot in the release handle support bracket W19-05 so the lever moved without interference. Needed to remove about 1/16" from the outboard side of the slot for proper alignment of the lever.
Installed the delrin main spar pin guide, W16-02. After updrilling the mounting holes and securing the block in place, I used a piece of .375x.035 wall tubing as a drill sleeve in the locking pin hole and pilot drilled the block with a size N drill. Moved the block to the drill press and updrilled with a W size drill. The delrin tends to expand while drilling and the resulting hole is usually undersize. Using the W drill (0.386") gave a good fit on the 0.375 pin.
Updrilled the W16-05/06 root brackets to #30. The aft most holes need additional updrilling for AN3 bolts.
Updrill the main spar lower flange holes to the F08-11 stiffener (L01 view E-E and section J-J).
